Long Time No Post Again
Dangit...I typed up this whole long blog entry, and then I accidentally deleted it. Wow, dangit.
Anyways, what has been going on as of late? Well, for debate, the halloween tournament was fun. Peter decided not to go so I went with Talal. We had fun there, we went 3-3 but it was our first time debating together. The tournament after was the Concordia one. That was awesome! Peter and I went 3-2, and we won a plate for being one of the top 16 teams! We had a lot of fun while we weren't debating also, we hung around, some of us went swimming in the hotel pool, I think it was me, Jimmy, Jordan Rasmussen, Molly, and then Ian got pushed in, which was pretty funny. Then, this weekend was Highland Park. We did really well, and we went 4-1, but we didn't break to quarterfinals, yet a Highland Park team we beat did! We lost in the second round to the Eagan team that won Concordia. The Highland Park team got to semifinals where they were stuck against the Eagan team, we got to watch that round. I, and most of the people from Edina-including the varsity people, thought Eagan should have won, but the judges disagreed. So the Highland Park team got to the finals where they were thrashed by Justin and Brian who won the tournament. I had wanted to see Justin and Brian debate the Eagan team, but I don't think Brian and Justin could have beat them. They claim they are better, since they beat Highland Park and Highland Park beat Eagan, they would have won. However, Peter and I beat Highland Park and then we lost to Eagan, so it doesn't really work that way.
Anyways, not much else has happened. Post your comments people. I'm out for now.

Another Day, Another Blog Entry
Hey, I'm back!
So...what has happened in recent times?
Ok, Saturday, we had debate, which was pretty fun, me and Peter went 3-1, pretty good, though we could have done better, we lost our first affirmative round ever. We did win both out negative rounds though, a first for us. Anyways, school has been okay this week. I don't really know what my favorite class is, maybe Band, dunno. Today was a pretty eventful day, there was the big blowout or whatever you want to call it at lunch, with Tia and Forud. Then Matty knocked out a ceiling tile, and then stashed it in an empty locker. Oh, hey, POST A COMMENT!! Is it really that hard to find the 'Post a Comment' button? If you have already posted one, you don't need to post another one, just if you can, post one! I'm out for now.

El Chato
And I'm back, wow, 6 posts, this is farther than I have gotten on my other blogs. If you haven't noticed, we have been doing a lot of School chats, fondly known as "El Chato". It hasn't been quite as fun lately however, as I say, "We need Peter in the chat for entertainment." Anyways, last Saturday, we pretty much screwed ourselves in debate, we went 2-2, our worst record yet, but we did have a serious disagreement (though we didn't actually say anything) with a judge. MEA is one of the greatest ideas ever created, we get time off, while they give work to the teachers so they can't think of more assignments for us with the extra time. Anyways, I'm out of stuff to talk about. Till next time...oh, and POST A COMMENT if you do read this!

Long Time No Post
Hmm...haven't posted in a while. Well, in debate, we have been doing pretty well. Our first tournament, we went 2-1, pretty good. Then last Saturday, we went 3-1, losing our only round by a single point. If we had had two more points and won the round, we would have ended in 3rd! As it was, we took 10th, not bad. Things have been pretty normal otherwise, we have debate again tomorrow. We had a meeting about the gifted programs for this year, I am gonna do Knowledge Masters and probably Mock Trial. I am trying to convince people (correction: a person, haha)to join the team. Post a comment if you actually read this please, because the IP address logger is not really helpful since I don't know whose is whose. Just post a comment writing "Hi" or something else if your creativity side of the brain is on. Anyways, that's all for now.

Week In Review
Hmm...what has happened in recent times? Tuesday I had debate and me and Peter are together for that. Wednesday was okay...we had our band auditions and I think I did okay. Thursday was really long, I had jazz band at 6:45 and that went till 7:40, then after school...hmm...I had UMTYMP, and that went till 6:00. Straight from there I went to debate, which started at 6:30 and went till 8:30. We had a practice debate against Erik Hemstad and Peter Michaletz and we did pretty well. I finally got home at 9:00, ate dinner, and went to bed. Not much happened today (Friday) but the week has been pretty good. Please post your comments.

Respect Retreat
Today was the day of our 'Respect Retreat' and it was a whole lot better than I thought it would be, it was actually pretty fun. We spent the first half of the time doing competitions of all sorts, including one where you stood with your toes to the heels of the person in front of you, going around in a circle, and then on 3, you had to all sit down on the knees of the person behind you. For one competition, the guy running the program said "If you are eliminated, you must go to the eternal slime hole" at which Ted Kramer yelled out "Eden Prairie High School!". We did stuff like that, and there were some stories that the people running the retreat program told, and then we did a 'Campfire' activity, in which we all sat in a large circle, and you could go to the middle of the room where there was a candle (our campfire) and a microphone, and you could apologize to someone or say thanks, or talk about respect. Ted went first saying "I am going to go first so that it will be easier for the second person" and then he sat down. I stood up once to apologize, as did a lot of people. A lot of people were really emotional, which is probably a good thing, because it means they probably learned a lot about respecting people.
Huh, really long post...well, I am done for now, please post your comments.

School
Now Playing: Centerfield - John Fogerty
Wow, school is back...
Two weeks down and I think about 38 to go. That's just way too many for me, even though there are a lot of things i like about school. I have spanish with none of my friends from spanish last year which kinda stinks, and someone asked me if I was a genius in spanish. My government class is a lot of fun, especially since Mr. Anderson is pretty cool, and Ted Kramer adds a lot of laughter to the class. Health is pretty boring, but I have to take it sometime, so why not now? Physics is another fun class, a lot of people in my hour are using my paper airplane design which is kinda cool, and then I sit at a table with Peter and Nick. Study Hall is looking to be a blast this year, James is in my IS again, and so are David, Erik Mensch, and John Scoggin. Whoa, I typed a lot, and it was really hard with the l, k, and comma keys gone. Well, my time's up, post your comments please.

Summer
Summer is almost over...
I had a great summer, taking a trip to Sweden, spending 2 weeks at spanish camp, and just doing stuff with my friends. I went to Valley Fair twice within a span of 9 days. The first time was with Justin, Brian, and Dustin, the second time with my family, a friend of my sisters, Peter Mathison, and our new exchange student Ryo. I also went to the State Fair, which was fun. I won two baseball hats and got a lot of free stuff.
Anyways, I will try and update again soon.
